Abigail Klobuchar Bessler is a 24-year-old aide to the New York City councilor, and a speechwriter. She was previously a political intern in the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. The daughter of a journalist and author, Abigail grew up in a family of politicians. Amy, her mother, worked in the Senate for more than three decades. She later quit alcohol and became a teacher.
