Abigail Klobuchar Bessler is a 24-year-old aide to the New York City councilor, and a speechwriter. She was previously a political intern in the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. The daughter of a journalist and author, Abigail grew up in a family of politicians. Amy, her mother, worked in the Senate for more than three decades. She later quit alcohol and became a teacher.

After college, Klobuchar and Bessler met and dated. The couple dated for more than a year before getting married in 1993. She also posted a photo from the wedding on Instagram, thanking her husband for his support. Abigail Klobuchar and John Bessler have a daughter named Abigail. They were married in 1993.
