Bolab Audio Productions was also founded to meet his musical talents and has produced albums for artists like the Brigadoons, Macleod Fiddlers and Kelli Trottier. Furthermore, he performed at several CHEO telethons and donated his time and talent for good causes; plus has an impressive volunteer history across various events.

Professional Career

He excelled at both ASA and NCAA levels of play. Furthermore, he served on the USA Men’s national softball team.

Lalonde had an accomplished coaching career. For five years he was head coach at the University of Denver, leading them to two consecutive WCHA titles under his direction.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica; daughters Amy and Adam Lalonde of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rudy and Lynn of Westerly Rhode Island and Carolyn Diemicke from Gales Ferry Connecticut as well as an array of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Additionally he was an active member of St Mary’s Church in Pecaniere Louisiana as well as serving his country for 21 years in the Air Force as a veteran before volunteering his services for hospice care as a Knights of Columbus member and volunteer.

Lalonde has garnered decades of musical experience over his long and illustrious career, earning many accolades and honors along the way. He has performed at notable events like Havelock Country Jamboree, Power Aid Live at Ottawa’s Corel Centre (now Canadian Tire Center), St Tite Festival, Gatineau Clog and Ottawa’s National Art Center among many others.

Ronnie Prophet co-hosted an American television program entitled Spirit of the Country; later that same year he joined Michel Benac to form Swing; their music combined Franco-Ontarian folklore with techno music.

Lalonde has enjoyed both professional and amateur playing careers as well as extensive coaching and teaching experience, earning First Team All American honors multiple times for men’s major fast pitch. On October 1 in Midland Michigan he will be honored with induction into the USA Softball of Michigan Hall of Fame.

Personal Life

His personal life revolves around his family. Together with his wife, they are parents to Ava and Ayden. He enjoys spending time with them, often attending soccer matches or play rehearsals attended by Ava. Additionally, he’s an avid Notre Dame fan who makes annual trips down to South Bend for one or more games.

He is actively involved with numerous charitable organizations, such as the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Telethon, and is an ardent fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He enjoys “Breaking Bad” and Criminal Minds among many other shows on television, as well as playing guitar and reading. Furthermore, his passion is music: he produced albums for Brigadoons, Ashley MacLeod, Glengarry Bhoys as well as working as sound engineer for other musical groups.
