Andrew Garfield is an American-British actor, who is best known for playing Spider-Man in the wildly popular 2004 film, The Amazing Spider-Man. Garfield also received numerous other accolades and awards, including a BAFTA and Golden Globe nomination for his performance in The Social Network. His work has also earned critical acclaim, including for his work in the Oscar-nominated film, Hacksaw Ridge. He was born in Epsom, England, and trained at the Center for Speech and Drama at the University of London. In 2007, he made his feature film debut with the ensemble drama Lions for Lambs. This role earned him a BAFTA nomination and a Golden Globe nomination.
