He was a member of Chantilly Bible Church. She was known to be very kind and gentle, and enjoyed helping others. Additionally, she did volunteer work at local nursing homes by organizing art and craft classes for elderly residents.

He was born in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio to Thomas Jefferson Haney and Nora Elvira Haney (nee Riddlebarger). He had two sisters and eight brothers. On month day at age 85 in Death Place Texas he died and was laid to rest there.
