Valerie Bertinelli on Finding Joy and Happiness in Her Life

Valerie Bertinelli, a two-time Golden Globe Award winner, became a household name with her role as Melanie Moretti on the CBS sitcom “One Day at a Time.” She also starred in the TV Land sitcom “Hot in Cleveland,” starring as Melanie Moretti. The actress received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in August 2012, and will soon become a Special Correspondent for the Today Show. This past December, Bertinelli embarked on a personal quest to find joy and happiness in her life. To help her achieve her goal, she re-thought her relationship with food, and found a new appreciation for a dish.

Liz Bertinelli met entrepreneur Vitale in the late 1980s and they became engaged in March 2010 and married in January 2011. They later divorced in November 2011, but remain friendly and amicable. Bertinelli was previously married to guitarist Eddie Van Halen, with whom she was married from 1981 to 2007. In October 2007, Van Halen passed away of cancer. The couple has a son named Wolf. The singer has four children from previous marriages.
