Brian Ruane

Brian Ruane, a financial advisor, has 15 years of experience. He has held positions with BNY Mellon Government Securities Services, Lockwood Advisors INC, and Pershing LLC. He is a member of Securities Agents of New Jersey and has earned the Series 63 & 66 licenses. He is also a member the UCD Michael Smurfit Business North American Board.

Prior to his current role, he was CEO of BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services. He was also co-head of Pershing Prime Service and head of global client management in North America. Frank holds several industry-related registrations and represents BNY Mellon on several boards. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from City University of New York, and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from Fordham University.

Ruane began his career in investment banking, working primarily with broker-dealers and financial institutions. Later, he expanded his role to include private equity firms as well as hedge funds. While at BNY Mellon, he became the CEO of the alternative investment services business, positioning the firm as a trusted partner for these clients.

Brian Ruane was an executive committee member of Pershing LLC and BNY Mellon. He has extensive experience in the financial sector and is responsible for the company’s government securities clearance as well as collateral management franchise. He is also a member of the Promontory Interfinancial Network’s Board of Directors.
