While attending school in Connecticut, Cayleigh Griffin had an internship in the sports section of the Stamford Advocate newspaper. She decided then to pursue a career in sports broadcasting. She continued her education at Providence College (a private Catholic university), where she received a Bachelor in Arts in Humanities and a Minor in Film and Video. During her undergraduate years, Griffin studied abroad in Sydney, Australia. Currently, Cayleigh lives in Houston, Texas. She also worked as a sports analyst for the Providence College television station.
Cayleigh attended Trinity Catholic High School in Connecticut. She played multiple sports, including soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Cayleigh was a natural athlete but she ultimately chose basketball over other sports due to her love for the sport. She was active in the school’s Multi-Cultural Club, the Ambassadors Club, and the National Honor Society. While in high school, Cayleigh interned at The Stamford Advocate.
Griffin has worked for many major networks since her graduation from the University of Connecticut. She hosted Spurs Live, a pregame show on FOX Sports Southwest, as well as handling sideline duties for home games. Griffin covers the Austin Spurs’ G-League team in addition to covering NBA games. She also covered the 2018 playoffs and the NBC-G winner. At present, Griffin is working for ESPN.
In college, Cayleigh McLaughlin interned at various tv stations. She has also worked as a freelance color commentator for Fox Sports. She is a former intern for the Big East Conference and has interned for several sports media companies. Cayleigh also interned at the San Antonio Spurs Sports & Entertainment, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and NBC. She has also worked at several television stations, including Fox Sports Ohio, Verizon Fios, and many other positions.
