Psychiatrist Profile – Dan Minton
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor specializing in the treatment of mental health problems. They use several approaches, including medications such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, sedatives and stimulants, to provide treatment to their patients.
Dan and Joy are thrilled to join Trinity. After serving in various capacities at larger churches, they wanted a more personal way to serve Christ at Trinity.
Early Life and Education
Daniel Minton teaches history at Glenn Hills High School. With degrees from Southern Illinois University and Augusta University, he enjoys passing his knowledge along to his students while traveling around and experiencing other cultures.
Minton recalls meeting Ted Hughes for the first time while working in a rose garden near Cambridge University in 1955. According to Minton, their friendship and that of other poets David Ross, Daniel Weissbort and Lucas Myers felt like being inside an intense creative workshop.
Minton is the author of three books covering the history of the Middle East and Byzantine Empire, in addition to writing for various newspapers and magazines. His hobbies include archery, fishing and cooking a wide array of cuisine.
Minton has been designing for more than 30 years, yet didn’t initially see it as his career path. Instead, it happened by chance; while working as both a police officer and personnel officer for the Air Force before making the leap into designing.
Minton’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest 12 times, earning him two “AD 100” edition spots. His eclectic style and creative talent make him a favourite with many clients.
He’s described as white, 5ft 8in-5ft 10in tall and stocky build. He sports short blond hair which he typically shaves off, has blue eyes, and wears a tattoo on both the left side of his neck and left hand.
Achievement and Honors
Minton is a proud member of the AAPD’s Police Athletic League and has participated in multiple fundraising events. Additionally, he serves as assistant basketball coach for fifth grade girls team at MCPA.
In 2000, he received the Paul Minton Service Award from the Southern Regional Council on Statistics to recognize his “outstanding contributions to the work and mission of SRCOS”.
As part of his free time activities, he enjoys golf and spending time with family. Additionally, he’s an avid follower of professional sports – especially the New York Giants and New York Knicks! Additionally, he enjoys reading books and watching movies, playing guitar and has taught music classes at Minton’s Academy since 2017. Katherine Yeon-Jung Baek is a violist instructor at Minton’s Music Academy since 2017.
Dan Minton lived life to its fullest, cherishing family time and laughter with friends. An outgoing person with a terrific sense of humor, Dan loved being part of his community as an outsourced laborer for over 30 years while supporting his family from one wage bill to the next.
Minton left his family devastated when he left to pursue his passion for architecture, only to tragically die in a horrific car accident two years later. Minton was an active member of North Monroe Street Church of God Mountain Assembly as well as the local labor movement.
Police in Norfolk have launched an appeal to locate a mother and baby boy last seen together six weeks ago in Swaffham. A family court has previously determined that the boy is at risk from harm if not located promptly.
Daniel Minton has an estimated net worth estimated in the millions. He owns his home in Wilkesboro, North Carolina as well as multiple investment properties. Additionally, his portfolio boasts high-value stocks such as Oracle stock.
Tory Smith and her husband Christopher Smith were last seen together in Swaffham, Norfolk, on 10 October and were subject to a family court order at that time. Norfolk Police are searching for both of them now.
