Dan Belc is Found Guilty of Murder and Sentenced to Life Without Parole

BLOUNTSTOWN – On Friday, emotional testimony from relatives of murdered Mennonite woman Judy Belc was followed by her husband Dan Belc receiving a life sentence without the possibility of parole in connection with her gruesome murder last year.

Early Life and Education

BELC failed its health inspection as well as background checks or professional development participation, according to records. BELC closed after this inspection was performed and has yet to reopen since.

On Oct. 28, a Calhoun County jury found Belc guilty of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault and sentenced him to life without parole. During his trial, his son testified that his father became violent when learning from his wife that two of their children had fathers other than himself.
