Who is Daniel Latham?
Daniel Latham is an attorney who specializes in white collar defense and investigations at Latham & Watkins law firm.

Daniel Latham hails from Louisiana and graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. While at Tulane, Daniel was part of a team which won Conference USA Championship, two NCAA Regional championships and an invitation to College World Series; additionally he was recognized with both CUSA All-Freshman status and Cape Cod League All-Star honors.
After his playing career was complete, he was selected in the 15th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by Minnesota Twins and has served as an assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute and High Point University since then.
He currently works for MoneyGuide, an industry-leading financial planning software firm. As a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP) account manager with 16 years of experience, he brings unique insight to financial planning.
Latham from Joseph Street in Middleport is currently subject to a community order and was ordered to complete 30 rehabilitation activity days as well as be banned from driving for 10 months and placed on the sex offenders register. Paige Morgan who provided mitigation said Latham has an ‘extensive history of drug use.’
Latham has led one of the nation’s premier pitching staffs during his seven seasons with the Lions as pitching coach, helping lead them to two Southland Conference Championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances while training nine pitchers who were later chosen in MLB drafts.
Latham has served as a volunteer assistant coach at both VMI and High Point. At Tulane University he earned C-USA All-Freshman honors, Cape Cod League All-Star selection in 2006, and all four years on their Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Daniel Latham boasts an outstanding education background that illustrates his dedication to his chosen field of higher education. After studying music as an undergraduate degree, Daniel went on to complete both postgraduate qualifications in higher education through University of Sussex.
Latham made his mark at Tulane University from 2004-07 as a pitcher, appearing in three NCAA regional tournaments and two College World Series trips while also receiving All-Freshman honors in C-USA, Cape Cod League All-Star team selection and being recognized with preseason All-American third team status by NCBWA in 2007. He earned C-USA All-Freshman distinction, earned C-USA All-Freshman status and was recognized with preseason All-American third team status by NCBWA that same year.
He currently serves as pitching coach at Stetson, helping the Hatters reach their 2022 season goals with success. Under his coaching, the team achieved its fourth lowest team ERA in school history while ranking second for strikeouts in the Big South Conference.
After graduating from Aberystwyth University, Daniel Latham pursued his love of food by landing his first culinary job with one of Mario Batali’s restaurants – Po in New York City – where he helped launch its charcuterie program and managed its day-to-day operations.
Latham has established one of the most productive pitching staffs in college baseball over his seven seasons as Southeastern Louisiana’s pitching coach, finishing among the top 100 nationally in team ERA and strikeout-to-walk ratio every season since his appointment as Lions pitching coach in 2011.
He previously held positions as pitching coach at VMI – helping the Keydets record one of their lowest team ERAs ever – and volunteer assistant coach at High Point. Furthermore, this Covington native appeared in 122 games for Tulane from 2004-07 accumulating 43 saves while leading them to win their conference championship and reach the 2005 College World Series.
