Daniel Raleigh has spent much of his career helping families with estate planning and administration needs across the Triangle area and beyond, representing clients with varied backgrounds and financial situations.

His passion lies with agriculture and he has tirelessly advocated on its behalf at NC State. Additionally, he successfully promoted two statewide education bond referendums by encouraging voters to cast “yes” ballots.

Daniel learned hard work and faith were crucial elements to building his successful future, so he has never lost sight of these core values during his entire career in North Carolina politics.

He has published extensively on protein structure. Furthermore, his main area of research interest lies within history of science; he believes it essential that scientific findings be placed within their historical context.

While in school, he studied math and could have majored in it; however, he felt he lacked the creativity required for creating original mathematical works. Instead, he has always been dedicated to his family, supporting her career goals even if this meant their children missing out on extracurricular activities.

Dan is a civil and criminal trial attorney. He represents clients in complex litigation matters such as corporate investigations, business disputes and regulatory concerns. Furthermore, Dan has significant experience negotiating and resolving commercial disputes.

He is highly adept in representing both public and private companies from diverse industries such as healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, financial services, real estate development and management, start-ups to exit strategies.

Dan has served on various editorial boards of journals and is part of the Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator Program. Additionally, he has published various articles. Dan is passionate about his work and finds great satisfaction in cultivating meaningful relationships with his clients.

Achievement and Honors

Raleigh was involved with numerous civic organizations, such as Hillyer Memorial Christian Church. Additionally, he served on the boards of several professional organizations as well as being an active member of the Rotary Club of Raleigh-Carolina.

Clare was actively engaged in her community, supporting everything from food banks and clothing banks to helping children obtain scholarships to school. They were staunch supporters of North Carolina State University’s agricultural education and research programs as well as two statewide bond referendums where “yes” votes were needed to pass.

He championed numerous legislative initiatives, such as the innovative University Campus Free Speech bill and digital learning plans that became North Carolina the first state in the nation to connect every classroom to high-speed internet; opportunity scholarships for students and families were among these successes.

Personal Life

Daniel loved his family dearly and was extremely proud of them all, particularly his grandchildren. Daniel took immense delight in spending time with them all – coaching his son’s football team and attending his daughter’s dance recitals were his particular favorites.

He was an active member of the Richmond Junto, supporting Jacksonian Democrats. Additionally, he served on Virginia Council of State.

In 1700 he was appointed to South Carolina’s Proprietor’s Council and soon found himself engaged in numerous disputes with legislators regarding privilege issues. Before his death in 1718 he left most of his estate to his wife and daughter before being interred at St John’s Episcopal Church in Farmingdale.
