Daniel Thomason – A Lifelong Texan

Daniel Thomason is a Psychologist practicing in Eagan, Minnesota at Minnesota Mental Health Clinic. He accepts multiple insurance plans and welcomes new patients as patients.

Dan managed to make time in his busy schedule for teaching public school music and playing viola d’amore in the Rogue Valley Symphony – leaving an everlasting mark on his students.

Early Life and Education

Woodburning and bead work were among his many hobbies, as was playing viola and having an insatiable passion for antique automobiles. Above all else he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by them all.

He grew up in Skiatook, Oklahoma and graduated from Tulsa Central High School before attending SNU and participating in Business Gaming Team, Cardinal Key National Honor Society and Mortar Board National Honor Society activities.

He is an avid art collector, owning works by Rembrandt, Claude Monet, Vilhelm Hammershoi, Edvard Munch and Patrick Heron among many others. Additionally, he owns an extensive collection of Constable drawings as well as recently paying an incredible record price for one of Lawren Harris’ watercolour paintings from Group of Seven painter Lawren Harris’ works.

Professional Career

Daniel Thomason worked as a financial professional and insurance agent in Galveston for over 15 years. He was licensed as both life, health, property insurance agent as well as being certified Chartered Financial Consultant and Special Needs Advisor; additionally holding Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations.

Thomason was an advocate of education throughout his professional career, serving on numerous educational institutions and music organizations as a member of their Boards of Directors. Additionally, he collected antique automobiles. Together with Anita Thomason he enjoyed traveling, hiking and playing the viola d’amore – a rare instrument Dan first came across during military service when seeing one in a shop window in Germany – so much that he founded both Viola D’amore Societies: one for America and the International Viola D’amore Societys to promote it as well as play it was so rare!

Engineering, management and leadership in developing several pace-setting general aviation aircraft that have become integral parts of air transportation worldwide.

Boeing was honored for their outstanding leadership in the design, development and production of large commercial jet airplanes such as the 747.

Awardees received this recognition for pioneering work in supersonic wind tunnel research and education of high temperature gas dynamics that have significantly advanced aircraft design.

Personal Life

Thomason enjoyed woodworking and antique car restoration in his free time, along with sharing his passion for music and unquenchable enthusiasm with all he met.

He was a loving family man, dearly cherishing his children. Furthermore, he was an enthusiastic supporter of his local community having served on both city council and as mayor in Skiatook.

Anita will miss her husband dearly. Matthew and Peter were proud to call him their own. His life was full of rich experiences that prepared him for his current position as Senior Product Manager of Wise Enhanced Due Diligence and Anti-Money Laundering Investigations. He will be greatly missed, yet his memory will live on in those whose hearts he touched; his legacy lives on in their memory along with those whose loved him; He leaves behind parents, wife, and children to mourn his passing.

He has 14 years of experience working in the industry and currently works for Morgan Stanley. He holds both a Series 66 license as a securities agent and investment advisor representative, giving him maximum flexibility when acting in both capacities.

He has made two trades of PG&E stock since 2016. The largest sale took place on November 15, 2017 when he sold 700 units for over $39,000. Additionally, he works as a sales consultant for life, health, and property insurance policies.
