David Brockway is a well-known physician in the Pewaukee region. He has been practicing medicine for over sixty years.
He was born on February 19, 1926 in Waukesha and passed away March 4, 2004 at 78 years of age. Survived by his wife and several of their children, he is survived by many loving relatives.
Early Life and Education
David Brockway was born in Connecticut in 1837 as the son of Pierce and Pearl (Webb) Eaton.
He completed his education in New Haven, Conn., and at twenty years of age set off for the West to seek his fortune. Ultimately settling in Hazen, Arkansas.
Throughout his life, he was actively involved in several organizations. He served as chairman of the No More War Movement in Britain and was a member of the League against Imperialism.
He was an ardent anti-imperialist and championed India’s independence. He served in Parliament several times, opposing Winston Churchill. Additionally, he belonged to the Labour Party; in 1925, he moved a resolution at their conference that declared their support for India’s independence.
Professional Career
David Brockway was renowned for his legal insight while working at Harter, Secrest & Emery. Specializing in health care law, he had been an integral part of Penfield for over three decades.
Aside from his legal career, he was an enthusiastic supporter of his local community and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Additionally, he took part in many enjoyable activities such as managing a greenhouse and emceeing Monte Carlo game nights at resorts throughout West Virginia and Virginia.

Dick had an extraordinary eye for detail and a genuine enthusiasm for his job. He owned his own plastic injection molding company and also worked at Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs as both tour guide and activities concierge.
He volunteered at all professional golf tournaments held in White Sulphur Springs. Additionally, he was active within the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, singing in the choir and serving on committees.
Personal Life
David Brockway’s personal life was filled with love and family. He was deeply committed to his wife of nearly sixty years, Connie.
He had a passion for travel and discovering new places. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and racquetball, and owned a summer cottage on Pewaukee Lake.
Dave was an active participant in many local organizations, such as the Pewaukee Yacht Club and Kiwanis Club. In addition to these roles, he volunteered at Blossomtime, Baroda Queen Contest, Berrien County Council of Churches, First Congregational Church-St Joseph, Caring Circle Hospice, Lakeshore Excellence Foundation and Lakeshore Band Program.
He was an eight-time finalist for Romance Writers of America’s coveted RITA award, earning it twice. With over 1.5 million copies in print and available across thirteen countries, his books are sure to capture your heart!
