David Huntley has served as Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer at AT&T, helping to shape its compliance culture. Additionally, he has created various methods for people to communicate and stay abreast of risks.
He is accountable for creating policies to protect customer and employee privacy, verifying compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in countries where AT&T operates, monitoring internal compliance requirements, as well as overseeing accessibility compliance. Early Life and Education
He was raised in San Mateo, California and developed an interest in surfboarding and sailing sailboats. Additionally, he served as lifeguard and scuba diver while earning a black belt in judo.
He was a former Marine who went on to serve as police officer with the Colorado State Patrol, Littleton and Aurora Police Departments. Later relocating to Dallas, he founded his own business ventures before ultimately landing his current role as Senior Executive Vice President of Chief Compliance at AT&T Inc.
On December 17, 2003, he was found guilty of the murders of Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells and sentenced to two life terms in prison.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Throughout his college career, he achieved many distinctions such as becoming the first African American President of SMU’s Student Government Association. Additionally, he was elected to the Board of Trustees at SMU and served on the boards of AT LAST!, Baylor Health Care System Foundation and Dallas Citizens Council.
His hobbies included box lacrosse, surfing, scuba diving, wrestling and triathlon. Furthermore, he was an ardent philanthropist who raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Challenged Athletes Foundation to aid wounded warriors lead healthier lives.
