Early Life and Education
David Masala was born on 19 February 2001 and is best known for playing young Bruce Wayne on FOX series ‘Gotham”.
Since 2018, he has made over 40 episodes for TV shows such as ‘The Good Doctor, Criminal Minds and The Office.
Early Life ED Resident
David was raised in an educational household and began his professional life as a teacher before later creating Branch, an innovative community service program targeting inner city students.
Professional Career
David Masala danced ballets by many renowned choreographers during his professional career, such as Cranko (Onegin and The Taming of the Shrew), Ashton (La Fille mal gardee), Balanchine and McMillan among others.
He performed pieces by choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, John Neumeier Maurice Bejart Peter Schaufuss among many others. His roles included Romeo and Juliet Onegin Swan Lake Holberg Card Games Brouillards etc.
As his dance career came to a close, he transitioned into teaching. Joining Marika Besobrasova’s teaching staff at Monaco’s Princess Grace Academy of Classical Dance before later joining Luca Masala’s in 2009 was only natural. Today, he regularly instructs in international dance training programs as a guest teacher as well as serving as an impartial judge at international competitions.
Achievement and Honors
As a dancer, david masala has performed and toured ballets by George Balanchine, Ek (She was black), Cranko (Onegin), Robbins (Dances at the Gathering), Ashton, Pierre Lacotte at Ballet National de Nancy as well as Ashton himself.
Masala has taught at several ballet schools and festivals worldwide, such as Northern Ballet School in Leeds England and international festivals held in Germany, Norway, South Korea and China. Currently he serves as Professor at Princess Grace Academy Monaco; among his achievements are earning a state degree and being honored as Tanz magazine’s Dancer of the Year for 2012. Tanz chose him due to his extensive knowledge of dance history as well as effective ways of teaching it.
Personal Life
David Masala is a very private person, preferring to keep his personal life out of the public eye. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children whenever possible and cherishing every minute they are together.
He loves traveling and experiencing new cultures, cuisines and traditional events – sometimes solo trips if necessary! – in his free time.
His YouTube videos showcase food, culture, and traditional events from around the world. To enhance his craft he studied vlogging superstars Casey Neistat and Mark Wiens’ videos; studying their techniques helped him film, edit and gain confidence on camera for himself. Through sharing experiences and adventures he has become highly sought after by his audience.
