Early Life and Education

Francine was an elegant fashionista with an infectious laugh who delighted many family and friends alike. We will miss her dearly.

She was also an active member of her church. Her devotion was evident both through her actions and smile.

Francine made her wrestling debut at the ECW One Night Stand reunion pay-per-view in 2002, interfering in a match between Tommy Dreamer and The Dudley Boyz and ending up losing in a Lingerie Battle Royal that also included Elektra and Shannon Fox.

She leaves behind her mother Clarine Ross; Richard Henry Sr and John Henry Jr; Brandy Nelson and Ashley Henry as sisters; her children as well as 14 nieces and nephews to mourn her loss.

Francine has amassed numerous accolades during her long career. As an award-winning anchor at Bloomberg and having covered international events like Davos World Economic Forum, IMF meetings in Washington D.C, G20 summits and OPEC, she has won multiple accolades including AIB Media Awards ‘International TV Personality of the Year’ awards twice.

Francine has also been actively engaged in philanthropy outside the news industry. With her husband Jim’s assistance, they established a family fund at The Columbus Foundation to facilitate their giving efforts related to behavioral health, education and LGBTQ communities.

Francine is also an advocate for public policy, serving on various committees including LA City Council’s Blue Ribbon Task Force on Healthy Schools/Healthy Students.

Personal Life

Francine Henry was an extraordinary mother to both of her children and their friends, as well as being generous tithing regularly and supporting various charitable efforts.

She was an avid reader of history and romance novels, loved to travel, and spent much time with family members including cousins.

She is survived by both of her parents, Clarine Ross and John Henry Jr; siblings Corwin Nelson and Jaidyn Henry; her nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives. Additionally, she was an animal lover – having owned multiple dogs and cats whom she dearly cherished, with Miss Foster being her favorite pet whom she had raised from puppyhood until its passing away on December 17th 2022.
