Hillaree Burns Stapp was born in the United States of America. She is best known as being Scott Stapp’s former spouse – lead vocalist/lyricist of Creed band Creed who married Hillaree on January 1998 before later divorcing him eight months later on June 8th 1999; sharing their son Jagger.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, being endowed in Idaho Falls temple. A talented writer and artist, she self-published four novels with covers designed by herself as an illustrator – self publishing all four themselves! Additionally she was an excellent cook who made many friends.
Robert “Rabbie” Burns was an 18th century Scottish poet renowned for his works focusing on nature, class culture and love. Additionally he was active on the social scene enjoying an assortment of illicit relationships.

Hillaree Burns was an award-winning student and leader within her school community. For this accomplishment, she was recognized at MCCA’s Diversity Honors Gala held at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
At this annual event, those who have made significant contributions to diversity in the legal profession are honored for their efforts. Burns was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award this year.
She was also a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in her local temple. A dedicated mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband and two children; as well as Jagger from her previous marriage with rocker Scott Stapp. Although the pair divorced in 1998, Stapp was awarded full custody over Jagger.

Stapp has made headlines due to several incidents, such as his psychotic break and subsequent diagnosis of bipolar disorder. When interviewed about this subject matter he described this diagnosis as being “a big relief”, as it offered explanation for his mental health struggles.
He has been married twice and is the father of three children. On February 11, 2006 he married Miss New York USA 2004 winner Jaclyn Nesheiwat but their marriage ended up separating in November 2014; eventually reconciling and having their first son together later that same month in November 2017; currently separated from Hillaree Burns as well.
