Jack Karasinski Commits to William and Mary

Last winter, Jack Karasinski was an MVP forward for Catholic Central High School’s Cougars basketball team in Division 2, helping Catholic Central to a state title victory in Division 2. Although he received 16 Division 1 scholarship offers, William and Mary is his ideal match and he committed there this time around.

Karasinski is an exceptionally gifted shooter who can fill multiple roles for the Colonials. In just his short high school career, he has achieved much and will make an invaluable addition to their program.

Early Life and Education

Jack Karasinski is described by Meerman as playing with heart and toughness, never afraid to dive after loose balls or take charges. This type of player could become one of the Cougars’ leaders this season.

Orv Schneider played at Western Michigan University before going on to the NFL. Orv is survived by Sophia Karasinski who serves as a guard at Central Michigan and is currently dealing with injuries this season.

Anthony Karasinski was born to John Karasinski and Blanche (Gronski) Karasinski on month day of any given month in Pennsylvania, United States. He had five siblings including Mary Karasinski, Frank Karasinski and four others. Professional Career

Jack Karasinski earned All-State recognition this season while leading Catholic Central to their third Division 2 state title game since 2013. They defeated Ferndale’s two Mr. Basketball finalists 82-71 in the first semifinal to reach this point.

First half action was tight, until Catholic Central’s Kobe Bufkin was hit with a hard foul as he blocked a shot by Ferndale’s Jorden Brooks and injured. Bufkin left the game immediately due to his injury; never to return again.

After an impressive sophomore campaign, Karasinski received 16 Division 1 scholarship offers. After selecting William & Mary as his host school, he is looking forward to his senior season focusing on improving his three-point shooting and leading his teammates on court as a leader. Mental toughness runs in his family with sister Sophia playing at Central Michigan.

Jack Karasinski hasn’t even reached his junior season yet and yet already boasts a Division I scholarship offer from Western Michigan – and probably more to follow! As a sophomore with Grand Rapids Catholic Central he led them to a perfect season and Division 2 state title!

He combines talent and physical toughness into an impressive athlete, and intends to keep that momentum going this summer by shooting 60,000 shots before starting junior year of high school.

He hopes this experience will enable him to improve his overall game and find success at a higher level of play. No matter where his journey leads him, it’s clear he possesses all of the tools to excel on and off the court.

Personal Life

Karasinski enjoyed an outstanding sophomore campaign at Catholic Central and has earned Division one offers from Western Michigan and Oakland. By making his decision now, he hopes it will relieve much of the pressure off him while allowing him to enjoy his senior season without stress or regrets.

Jack Karasinski credits his family with helping him develop both mental and physical strength necessary to thrive at college basketball. His grandparents both played college hoops while his sister is currently redshirt junior for Central Michigan’s team. Jack credits them as helping him prepare for life after high school by building mental and physical toughness through sports participation and providing mental encouragement as needed to succeed academically in college basketball.
