John Cossu’s family was very important to him. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was also a good friend to many.

He was one of the first artists to sign with Windham Hill Records. He was on the label for 19 years before it was sold to Sony. He also hosted a radio show and composed music for film. Besides being an active musician, John was an avid sports fan, especially his beloved NFL team, the Washington Redskins. He is survived by his wife, Charline; sons Dan (Yolanda), Sharon Montis, Pat (Roger) Maher and Lisa Cossu; stepsons Roger Periandri, Gino (Angela), Yolanda Cossu, Mitchel Periandri, Dante Periandri and Marco Periandri; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
