John was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the guidance of his father Edgar David Craiger. Though John showed little aptitude for academic work and was frequently reprimanded for inattentiveness, John eventually agreed to enroll in a more challenging school where his work improved dramatically; by 1751 he had earned enough credits to enter Harvard one year ahead of his peers.
John has had an affinity for traveling since childhood, exploring places such as the Caribbean, Antarctica and South America’s length. He believes that travel is a fantastic way to learn about people and culture while meeting new ones. The University of Central Florida recently awarded top honors to 13 faculty members for their teaching accomplishments. John Craiger was one of 13 recognized for the 2009-2010 school year with the Schreyer Honors College award, designed to recognize academic achievements and contributions to UCF’s community. This award recognizes senior scholars at UCF as well as junior and sophomore Scholars who have made outstanding contributions.
Craiger is a proud Orange Bowl alumni and an enthusiastic golfer, regularly hitting the greens at various clubs around town. Recently hired by national law firm Polsinelli’s legal department as part of their creditor’s rights and loan enforcement divisions, he’s already working on some high-profile matters with an established reputation within this field.
