John Lincoln Eisele was an American runner who was a member of the New York Athletic Club. He was a light-hearted, optimistic man who was an excellent distance runner.

After graduating from Princeton, he joined his father’s stock brokerage firm in Newark and did quite well for himself and his family. But the stock market crash of the 1920s devastated his fortune and he ended up killing himself.

After the stock market crash, he committed suicide. His family and friends are still struggling to pay for his funeral expenses.
