Early Life and Education

The early years of a child’s life are crucial for their physical and mental development. They are influenced by their relationship with their parents, which is why it’s important to have quality care and support during this time.

UNESCO believes that a high-quality, inclusive ECCE program can make the difference between children’s emotional wellbeing and learning throughout their lives. It can also promote gender equality and social cohesion.

The United States has a long history of ECEC, beginning with day nurseries that were first established in the 1830s under voluntary auspices. These programs evolved to accommodate the changing work roles and composition of families, and to assist in the education of all young children.

As a kid, Isaman was a boxing enthusiast and won six National Golden Gloves titles. He also played football, winning all-state honors in the state of Ohio and a spot on the National High School Coaches Association All-American team as a linebacker.

It was when he started his career as an equity trader that Isaman first considered pursuing his longtime love of boxing as a full-time hobby, and then a professional endeavor. While he did not go pro in the ring, he did manage to make his mark on Wall Street as an investor and portfolio manager with FrontPoint Capital. He later joined the venerable Neuberger Berman, where he serves as a Managing Director. He has also carved out a niche as a renowned writer and author.
