John Zvonek

Aurora Business Leader – John Zvonek

In 1912, former President Theodore Roosevelt was shot and wounded while campaigning for reelection with his Bull Moose Party. Following this experience, he went on to lead his party into congressional majority status.

He achieved passage of several significant laws that stimulated the economy and enhanced living conditions for citizens. Furthermore, he worked to guarantee workers fair wages and decent working conditions.

Early Life and Education

Early Childhood Education (ECEC) is an area of research that examines child development from birth to age eight. This period of brain growth and development can have a lasting effect on an individual’s future prospects.

A study conducted in the U.S. revealed that 63% of infants, toddlers and preschoolers were receiving some kind of child care or early education program.

This delivery system is largely private and often divided between “care” and “education,” though there has been some progress recently toward integration of both components. As a result, ECEC remains fragmented with wide quality gaps and uneven access. Its societal values, categorical funding patterns, and variety of delivery models continue to fuel these differences. UNESCO believes inclusive high quality ECEC is one of the most significant investments a country can make towards holistic development, gender equality and social cohesion.
