Early Life and Education

Josh was exposed early on to hard work and persistence through his father, a floor layer, who instilled him with an excellent work ethic that has served him throughout his career.

He later attended Maryville College, an affiliated PCUSA school in East Tennessee, and discovered his faith. Thereafter, he accepted his calling to ministry by volunteering as the youth director at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas.

Subsequently, he relocated to Missouri for his initial solo pastor position at Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City. Since then, he has held part-time pastor roles at Open Table United Church of Christ along the Alabama Gulf Coast while also participating in committees associated with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Young Life Foundations.

Professional Career

After an accomplished teaching career, Josh responded to God’s promptings and attended Princeton Theological Seminary for full-time training in ministry. Since then he has held positions such as volunteer youth director in Houston; Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry in New Jersey; and part time pastor of Open Table United Church of Christ in Mobile AL.

Foundation Source, where he collaborated with trusted advisory teams to establish and manage private foundations. An expert on charitable giving vehicles and passionate advocate of philanthropy as an effective way of creating impact and fulfillment, Mr. Miller worked at Foundation Source with trusted advisory teams.

Joshua lives in Mobile with his wife Kellie and sons Owen (11) and Lawrence (6 years old). Together they are excited to be part of a spiritual community that is Spirit-led, intergenerational, ecumenical, and advances God’s mission.

Noah currently faces three-year sentence for home invasion and weapons charges out of Cicero in 2019 and anticipates being released sometime during 2022. Furthermore, a court ruling from Chicago may take place as early as that year.
