Kim Novak Files Cease-and-Desist Lawsuit Against SKKN+ Skin Care Line

Kim Kardashian recently revived her KKW Beauty makeup and fragrance lines under a new name: SKKN+, although this move has caused considerable debate as Cydnie Lunsford of Brooklyn spa and skincare company SKKN+ filed a cease-and-desist suit against Kim.

Products sold under this brand come packaged in nude-colored packaging featuring simple designs reminiscent of Kanye West’s Yeezy clothing line, while perfume bottles feature crystal motifs.

Early Life and Education

Kim Novak came from a working-class family, taking acting lessons to increase her chances of landing small roles in movies like Pal Joey (1957) and Bell Book and Candle (1958).

After graduating cosmetology school, she quickly gained work as the key hairstylist on movies such as B.A.P.S starring Halle Berry and TV shows such as Moesha with Brandy as Moesha’s key stylist. Due to her creative and innovative style, she quickly earned other jobs within the industry.

Alongside her successful beauty line, she educates fellow stylists by producing educational content on YouTube and through Booksy. Additionally, she serves as a Booksy Ambassador providing tips for booking more clients and designing beautiful hairstyles.

Professional Career

Kim brings years of corporate consulting experience, including operations supervisor, international auditor, project manager and consumer business practice consulting at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Deloitte respectively.

Since Kim has tried her luck at various beauty products-such as Kardashian Glamour Tan, KKW Fragrance and Sears collections-with little success, many of her ventures (Kardashian Glamour Tan, KKW Fragrance etc) have failed. Now she hopes that with SKKN by Kim she can turn things around.

She has stated that her new brand will focus on education and will offer everything from hair, makeup and skin care products to supplements and home products. She will work one-on-one with each student to find their niche and career path.

Achievement and Honors

Kim Kardashian has made it abundantly clear that she is unafraid to take risks and push boundaries, proving herself an adept businessperson as well as master of branding and marketing. Her eBay store launched in 2013; KKW launched later that same year.

Reality star Tamra Barney has made it her mission to empower women and promote body confidence, including through contouring kits and hair products designed specifically to promote it.

Reports state that Kim has been hard at work developing her SKKN BY KIM makeup line, set for release this year. It will offer skincare, cosmetics and fragrance products in an elegant minimalist package; she will also relaunch KKW Fragrance under new name and website.

Personal Life

Kim Kardashian, known for her expertise in beauty, has expanded her business empire into skin care with the launch of SKKN by Kim – an accessible minimalist skin care line featuring nine products priced between $150 for hyaluronic acid serum and $140 for face mask.

Kim has also launched her own line of makeup and fragrances, KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance, under SKKN with new websites and stores planned.

She has long been an outspoken supporter of various causes, such as recognition of Armenian genocide and prison reform, hurricane relief fund efforts and California wildfire fund drives, women’s rights advocacy, clemency for parolees and public speaking engagement.

Net Worth

Kim Kardashian has built an empire worth over one billion dollars. KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance are her primary revenue generators; in addition she offers various merchandise lines, workout DVDs and endorsement deals as well. Furthermore, Kim’s reality television show Keeping Up With the Kardashians has netted her tens of millions in licensing and syndication revenue alone!

Kim has recently embarked on her next endeavor – Skims shapewear line – which has seen A-list celebrities like Madelaine Petsch and Jenny McCarthy model active rompers with matching bra and panty sets, along with cozy active rompers for activewear use. In addition, she makes considerable income through social media, mobile games, and other investments.

Forbes officially acknowledged Kim Kardashian’s wealth as of April 2021 thanks to her stakes in KKW Beauty, Skims, and other businesses she owns.
