Lucas Cook is currently studying Instrumental Music Education and Tuba Performance at Central Washington University. In this capacity he holds various roles on campus: Marching Band Drum Major for Marching Band; member of Symphonic Winds Ensemble; Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble as well as teaching musicians to West Valley (Yakima) High School Band, Cle Elum-Roslyn High School Band as well as other bands across Washington state.

He received the 2022 Lucas-Hathaway Teaching Excellence Award, honoring faculty who demonstrate commitment to high standards of instruction and student learning. Additionally, Red Speedo and The Christians both earned him an Obie Award – two significant accolades for American playwrights.

Personal Life

Cook maintains an active lifestyle by engaging in various sports activities. He has performed with the Central Washington University Marching Band as tuba section leader, taught baseball/softball hitting/catching lessons/catching instructon, strength coaching and personal training.
