Lucas Flood Insurance Agency was founded by a former captive agent. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the George Lucas Educational Foundation, an independent, tax-exempt organization dedicated to realizing his vision of technology-enriched education. He serves as Group Creative Director at The Community NY and works on culture-shaping brands that span national and global platforms – with clients such as PlayStation, Samsung and Marvel among his clientele.
Personal Life
Flexibility has been key to the company’s success and allowed it to go from being a small family firm specializing in cycle accessories in the mid 19th century to one involved with components, automotive and aerospace from their infancy.
Lucas entered USC’s film department in 1967, sharing a dorm room with future director John Milius, where they produced Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB which won first prize at the National Student Film Festival. Later he participated in an internship program at Warner Bros with Francis Ford Coppola working on Finian’s Rainbow film project.
He is an active member of several clubs, such as the Republican Business and Professional Women’s Club of Queens, National Council of Negro Women, Merrick Community Center, Urban League, Lighthouse as a social service agency as well as being a generous philanthropist donating his services and donations to various charitable causes.
