Maiyisha Rashad inherited her fortune through her famous sportscaster father Ahmad Rashad and is also an accomplished actress.

She played Clair Huxtable for eight seasons of The Cosby Show and received numerous honors and recognition.

She married Phylicia Ayers-Allen from The Cosby Show in 1985 and had two children, Billy Bowles and Condola Phylea Rashad. Unfortunately, they eventually separated; her father later married Sale Johnson who has three stepchildren together with them.

Early Life and Education

Acclaimed actress Angelina Jolie has received numerous accolades throughout her illustrious career and continues to grace big-screen scenes today. Most notably in 2010, she starred in two comedies – Just Wright and Frankie & Alice – before going on to star in television movie adaptations of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Steel Magnolias.

Rashad married Phylicia Ayers Allen and gained Billy Bowles as his stepson, later having Maiyisha and Ahmad Jr. between them.

Before his marriage with Melody Neal in 1967, the actor had previously been married to Deidre Waters and Matilda Johnson and sired two offspring: Keva (his daughter) and Sean (son). Each relationship produced children for him: Sean was Sean’s birthfather while Keva was Keva’s.

Ahmad Rashad, best known for playing professional football with both Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, currently works as a television sports anchor, game reporter, and host for ESPN. In 1969 he married Deidre Waters; they divorced later that same year before marrying Phylicia Ayers-Allen with whom he had two more daughters together; the last child is Maiyisha who was born after they divorced each other.

She earned both Tony Awards and Drama Desk Awards for her performance as Lena Younger in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway, winning both awards. Additionally, she has appeared in Dominique Morriseau’s Skeleton Crew revival performance, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom revival performance at Tennessee Williams Cat on a Hot Tin Roof revival production and Tennessee Williams Cat on a Hot Tin Roof productions on stage.

She has made numerous notable directing debuts, such as August Wilson’s Gem of the Ocean and Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Our Lady of 121st Street for Our Lady Theater as well as Richard II at The Public Theatre. Many colleges and universities have honored her with honorary doctorates degrees including Providence College, Tuskegee University Carnegie Mellon and Fordham University among many others.

Maiyisha may have an immense fan base, yet she prefers to keep her private life out of media scrutiny – taking after her mother in doing so.
