Nobalean Henry

On 11 June 2007, Nobalean Henry, an early 30s police officer was tragically stabbed to death while on duty by Brayden Smart and Abraham Abas from their car on Buckley Street in Morwell. Nobalean Henry was struck eight times; with one blow cutting an artery in his leg.

Personal Life

At the time of his murder, Henry’s mother wrote in her victim impact statement that the viciousness and brutality shown to Henry were unmerciful. On 11 June 2007, while responding to a 999 call regarding a window cleaner who had been stabbed near Buckley Street in Morwell, Henry encountered three men led by Brayden Smart who attacked him assaulting and stabbing him 8 times across his back, buttocks, and thigh before stabbing him eight more times before taking two hours later before dying in Latrobe Regional Hospital two hours later; all this action could have been captured on CCTV.
