Early Life and Education
Thomas was born into a rural Welsh village and nearly died as an infant, eventually moving with his family to Radyr and attending a council-run school, where both he and Prys flourished academically.
As soon as he left school he was admitted to the University of Wales Aberystwyth to study Modern Languages and Politics Philosophy and Economics (PPE). Unfortunately he soon became disenchanted with Oxford’s stiff formalities and changed to dentistry instead.
Since then, Dr. Safrani has established himself as an internationally acclaimed educator on aesthetics, lecturing and running courses worldwide while publishing articles in leading dental magazines. Additionally, he won the Heraeus Kulzer Prize from British Society of Prosthodontics for research into tooth wear as well as developing a novel resin layering technique.
Professional Career
Rhodri Thomas is an award-winning dentist and the creator of Art2Aesthetics – an exclusive series of international training programs and esthetics-based courses specifically geared towards dentists. He believes each clinician possesses an inherent creative talent, and nothing brings him greater pleasure than helping to unlock it.
He graduated with honors from Cardiff University and now lectures and teaches worldwide on aesthetic dentistry through conferences and private courses, publishing articles in leading dental magazines.

He has extensive experience with employment law litigation in high court courts; employee share option/incentive arrangements; transactional projects as well as acting for national/international sports governing bodies/teams/individuals on regulatory matters.

He currently holds positions as Resident Faculty at both Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago and Stribe Dental as well as being founder of Art of Dentistry – an innovative training series dedicated to aesthetic dentistry for dentists worldwide. Additionally, Rhodri Thomas has published books as well as developed new resin layering techniques which he pioneered himself.

Rhodri Thomas runs two successful businesses at once: Dentistry and JamJar. Both provide tourist information on bars, restaurants and events in their destination cities; since 2005 they’ve enjoyed tremendous success.
Rhodri stands out as both an outstanding speaker at AACD and author in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, pioneering a new resin layering technique and creating an entire book dedicated to resin artistry.
Apart from his professional duties as director of a language consultancy and former Chair of CND Cymru, he’s also the fluent Welsh speaker and environmental activist he was once chair for CND Cymru. Furthermore, he enjoys golf and travel as much as his family; living with wife Amy and their three daughters.
