The Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) recently promoted Michael Manley to assistant vice president of mortgage operations. In this new role, Manley is responsible for underwriting, closing, post-closing, and secondary marketing functions. He previously served as assistant vice president of mortgage services.

The SSFCU offers several types of loans for a variety of purposes. Personal loans are available for many credit situations and have rates as low as 2.69%. The company also offers 15-year and 30-year mortgages, refinances, and home equity lines of credit. In addition to mortgages, SSFCU also offers credit cards, including Mastercard and Visa.

SSFCU has over 850,000 members and 69 service centers across Texas. The credit union is federally insured and has over 4,000 ATM locations nationwide. Membership has increased as a result of mergers with other credit unions. The organization also belongs to the Credit Union Service Centers network, which gives it access to over 4,000 locations nationwide.

Savings accounts are another option offered by SSFCU. The Basic Savings account requires a minimum opening deposit of $5, with no monthly fee. The Basic Savings account pays 0.05% APY on all balance tiers. A Youth Savings account is also available. This account is available to children under the age of 18 and requires a minimum opening deposit of $5. The Youth Savings account also has no monthly maintenance fee.

SSFCU is a federal credit union. It is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas and has more than 50 brick-and-mortar branches. The majority of these branches are located in the San Antonio area. The credit union is a member-owned organization with no shareholders. As a member-owned financial cooperative, SSFCU enjoys a wide range of services and membership benefits.

The complaint against SSFCU was filed on March 31, 2006. It is a class action diversity complaint. Plaintiff filed an answer and a motion to dismiss, and SSFCU filed a response to the complaint. Plaintiff’s reply to SSFCU’s reply are also filed.
