Stephen Amell in Grey Sweatpants

It’s no secret that Stephen Amell is a fan of Canadian sports teams, so it makes sense that he would be a fan of the ‘Arrow’ t-shirt. Although his wife, actress Cassidy Jean, is a diehard Leafs fan, Amell claims to have spent many a night watching the Jays. On top of that, the actor is also a registered insurance broker. He has a young daughter, Mavi, who he christened after her favorite movie star. In fact, it is Amell who is likely to be credited for the fact that Emily’s House, a children’s hospice located in Toronto, has benefited from his donations.

Taking his wife’s cue, Amell was seen wearing a pair of grey sweatpants during his recent trip to New Orleans. This is not the first time that the actor has worn something akin to this. He donned it in Dante’s Cove in season two. The greys were a bit of a novelty on the show in the early going, but they’ve since become a staple. Amell is no stranger to wearing the ‘Arrow’ t-shirt, as it has come in many iterations over the past seven years. In fact, Amell recently tweeted that his current suit “looks better on me than it did when I was younger”. In the words of Amell’s daughter, Mavi: “I have to say, this one was more comfortable.”

Amell’s costume has gotten a lot of love over the years, and it’s not hard to see why. The actor has starred in many a high profile television series and movie, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. In the past, he has donned the aforementioned ‘Arrow’ t-shirt, the ‘Heels’ from the ‘Helo’ series, and the ‘Shield’ from the ‘Season 7’ of the ‘Clash of the Titans’. In addition, Amell has made the time to flex his Russian language skills. This is a skill that has been honed from his stint on the ‘Vampire Diaries’ where he portrayed a werewolf named Brady.

While Stephen Amell may be best known for his role as Oliver Queen on the CW’s superhero blockbuster, the actor has had a long and distinguished career in a variety of other roles, such as Joran Van der Sloot in the Lifetime television film Justice. He also appears in the ‘Hung’ series. Among other things, the actor also plays Casey Jones on ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’. It’s no surprise that Stephen Amell has won awards for his acting, but the ‘Arrow’ t-shirt may just be his biggest win. The actor has swooped in to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the aforementioned Emily’s House.
