Early Life and Education
Steven Eisen held his family at the forefront of his life. As a husband, father and grandfather he was deeply committed to their welfare – being actively involved with Jewish organizations as well as community service activities.
Mr. Watervliet also gave back to his hometown by coaching wrestling at the high school level for 14 years, helping many wrestlers reach state tournament.
Montgomery Bell Academy was his alma mater where he excelled as both national debate champion and varsity tennis team member. Steve Eisen is an accomplished musician who was featured as part of the 5th US Army Band based out of San Antonio and with Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps (official escort for President of United States in Washington, DC) for over 20 years. Additionally, he established a highly successful music teaching practice.
He is an avid reader and longstanding supporter of Jewish education and values. He has contributed articles for publications like Wall Street Journal, Jewish Week, Tablet and Huffington Post as well as blogs that focus on Jewish issues on his blog “On My Mind”.
