Liger made his WCW debut in December 1991, feuding with Brian Pillman for the vacant World Light Heavyweight Championship and successfully defending it twice in February 1992. At Starrcade he and Erik Watts lost out against Steve Williams and Sting in an attempt to join forces against Steve Williams and Sting. Later that year he participated in NJPW’s 1995 Super J-Cup tournament where he defeated Gran Naniwa, Ultimo Dragon and Gedo on his way to victory and eventually winning it outright!

Steve Ligor has been happily married to his wife since 1983 and is father to two sons. Recently he announced on Facebook that he has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and underwent robotic DaVinci surgery Thursday morning. He thanked all for their thoughtful thoughts and advises all men to get a PSA test done.
