Steve Pendery has long been a presence in Campbell County politics. Since 1999 he has served as judge executive and also held positions as mayor and city councilman of Fort Thomas. Additionally, Steve is co-owner of a family insurance business in Fort Thomas.

His lifelong home of Campbell County has seen him serve as County Judge/Executive since 1999 and co-own Pendery Insurance and Risk Management Group family business since. Additionally, he was appointed nine-year Newport city commissioner during this time and active with various community organizations such as Leadership Kentucky and Dan Beard Council of Boy Scouts.
