Steve Topping
Steve Topping is a One-Of-A-Kind Legal and Social Warrior
Early Life and Education
Early in his life, Topping discovered his love of music through jazz band and excelled at performing. This led him to study it at college and pursue his dreams of becoming a professional musician.
He and Cathy, who also serves as an administrator at their school, acquired Par-Tee Freeze on West Main Street in 1977. Operating it on a tight budget, Steve spent his nights and weekends working while Sue dipped chocolates during the day – sometimes taking naps with Todd lying asleep on the back room floor.
Robert is currently working towards his Master’s of Geography (Climatology) from LSU, researching how the Madden-Julian Oscillation influences tropical cyclone frequencies. When not studying or researching climate, Robert likes spending time with family and reading (especially books by F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald).
