Thomas Ebeling – Better Known As Tom
Thomas Ebeling, better known by many as Tom, had many interests ranging from music and gardening to helping the community and exploring Chicago’s public greenspace, waterways and neighborhoods.
He studied psychology in Hamburg before beginning his professional life at Reemtsma. Later he moved on to Pepsi-Cola Germany where he helped increase sales volumes for that organization.
Early Life and Education
Thomas Ebeling (Tom), also known as Tom, was an admired husband, father and friend. His passions included gardening and music – two activities he studied at University of Hamburg while serving on multiple Non-Exec Boards to advise businesses and owners alike. Jungel described Ebeling as an influential church doctor while Bonhoeffer regarded him as his mentor (Beutel 2012:47). Additionally he enjoyed table tennis playing alongside Ebeling; they even played four-hand piano together!
Thomas Ebeling is an entrepreneur and businessman who has founded various companies. After studying psychology in Hamburg, Thomas began his career at Reemtsma where he served as product manager responsible for West cigarette brand. Later, Thomas moved onto Pepsi-Cola Germany where he held various marketing roles.
In 1997, he assumed general management for Novartis Nutrition Germany and Austria; four years later he assumed global leadership for their Nutrition Division. Revenues more than doubled during this time.
He currently sits on the supervisory boards of Bayer AG and Lonza, as well as being appointed a director at Qiagen, Sivantos (Hearing Aids), Cullinan and GFK. Additionally, he serves on MPM Capital’s UBS Oncology Impact Fund advisory Board.
Tom Ebeling was renowned for being a compassionate husband, father, friend and philanthropist with an incredible sense of humor who loved music, gardening and being around friends and family. Additionally, he served on the boards of directors for Bayer AG, Lonza and Sivantos while also sitting on their advisory boards; additionally he held positions with Cullinan, Orna and Qiagen as an advisory board member as well as being Chief Executive Officer for ProSiebenSat.1 Media.
He heads several companies besides Betterlifehealthcare Ltd, Heilpflanzenwohl AG and Te Convest AG; among them are Betterlifehealthcare Ltd, Heilpflanzenwohl AG and Te Convest AG. He serves on the board and as strategic advisor of MPM Capital Inc, is founder of Moonfare GmbH and chairman of Remagine Media Ventures Funds.
Viscount Rothermere has become famous for keeping their family newspaper empire afloat, with one son serving as likely successor. Their assets include shares in Associated British Foods – maker of Twinings tea and Wagon Wheels snack cakes – among many others.
